Painting For The Sake of Painting 2.

I can't go very long without producing some kind of painting...that can lead to allot of wasted canvas.
Sleepy studies for no reason whatsoever.




i begin life on my own and i dont like it. I had this Acrylic kicking around my studio for about a year. It was one of those pieces that I had started for no reason and reached a dead end with. I remember when I started it, capturing the endearing image of a boy in an oversized suit was easy…but then I couldn’t figure out where to go. At one paint i am sure the background was going to be red. Thank god I stopped and waited to finish this painting. Recently the conclusion just clicked.muted colours. To be honest I’m quite glad how it came out in the end :) I suppose this painting is an example of my style in its purest form. My paintings all posses a narrative or some form of allegory. Maybe it is to do with the inspiration from literature…. Height 80cm x Width 70cm Acrylic on canvas

Super fail adventure: ATTACK OF THE CONDIMENTS! The name sounds metal and with good reason. This was inspired by having no money, a vague idea of making a comic book for a birthday present.... then an over enthusiastic imagination and kapow.... 7days and 15 pages later im giggling to myself with a cramped up hand....
*The characters are shamelessly based on my two bestest mates and of course im the one with the magic paintbrush. i had so much fun making it and it seemed to go donw well as a nice cheap 21st brithday gift for these two beauties...*

Thing Of Dimensions

Dimensions and beings project.
Martin Heidegger says the way to MAKE work of art, is to transport it from existing as a thing to a being.
Thank you Mr Heidegger. messing about with that idea i created these paintings for hands (the tools of creativity) reaching, constructed.... gothically twisted... then drilled a hole through them.....like a painting trying to exist in a space...change its dimensions......
